Booking this session requires your child to have been registered with DSC at the registration evening prior to this event.
This page is for booking the Friday Evening sessions for participants & helms.
Please arrive at the club dressed & ready to go sailing, as promptly as possible and 15 mins before your session starts to facilitate booking onto our safety system, allocating to a dinghy / helm for the session and changeover from a previous session.
Please register on arrival in the courtyard (weather permitting), Parents may stay and relax in either the bar area, the courtyard, or the promenade to watch the sailing.
Participants will be escorted by a nominated adult across the road to the slipway before the session and back to the rear courtyard afterwards. Participants will be given a temporary armband as a tagging system is in operation, please ensure this is surrendered before going to get changed or showered.
BBQ & tuck shop will be after the 1st session finishes.
Try to keep the young people out of the water and dry before the session starts to avoid them getting cold prematurely.
Safety is paramount – the sessions will only operate if the weather is suitable & sufficient qualified volunteers are available, we’ll try to make a timely judgment call and put a cancellation notice on Facebook before you travel to the club or the 1st session if the weather is poor . We will ensure all participants get a fair turn on the water.
Parents are kindly reminded of the DSC child protection policy, and that adults are not permitted into the junior changing rooms for any reason unless explicitly allowed to and accompanied by a senior club member or Club Flag officer, we thank you for your cooperation with this policy!
