DSC provides all of its operational/afloat & sailing members with VHF (Very High Frequency) radio training.

Our training permits a user to operate and use a handheld or fixed marine band VHF radio with competence under the club’s VHF radio telephony license and equipment on a reserved channel or in an emergency to contact relevant parties.

Completion of this course will prepare the participant and provide them with the knowledge and skills required to sit an exam to acquire a license of their own if desired. Unfortunately DSC do not normally offer the option to sit the RYA SRC (Short Range Certificate) examination in house, but this is readily available either online or with other training providers.
