Volunteers Wanted!
As the 2024 Sailing Season starts we invite you to participate in your club. Our volunteers have shown that as a club we are stronger when we pull together and with a busy calendar of events planned for all our members both on, in and off the water, extra helping hands are always welcome! You too can make a positive difference.
No matter how much time you can spare, there are lots of ways you can lend a hand and really make a difference at Donaghadee Sailing Club. The more members that can help, the stronger our response to the challenges we face will be.
Come along on Friday 12th to find out more about how you can play your part in helping our club thrive and grow. Your club officers have promised nibbles and drinks and members who currently volunteer, will be on hand to tell you what’s needed from serving food at social events to ensuring our on the water activities take place safely to maintenance of our fabulous clubhouse. Even an hour or two once a month will make a difference.
Access NI Enhanced Checks
As a club we are committed to ensuring that everyone who takes part in our sport should be able to do so in an enjoyable and safe environment, which promotes inclusion and protects from harm, bullying and abuse. On Friday 12th members will be on hand to explain the process of requesting an AccessNI check. It is a completely free process for volunteers and managed by the RYA. If you are over 16 and involved with our OnBoard/Bright Nights or in any regular way with the junior activities of the club we would urge you to come along and register for your AccessNI check.
