An opportunity to learn the basic skills required to operate a  powerboat both safely and competently. A mostly hands on practical course at the helm of one of hour RIBs (Rigid Inflatable Boat) or Rigiflex boats with some land based instruction & theory, under the guidance and instruction of one of our accredited RYA power boat instructors. Successful students will be awarded their L2 Powerboat certificate at the end of the course.  A minimum qualification to be permitted to helm any of the DSC powerboats.

Please come prepared to go afloat, cater for all eventualities that Northern Ireland can offer in a single day so, please bring sun cream warm hats, warm waterproof clothing, a fleece, suitable footwear that you don’t mind getting wet,  and a change of clothing to go home in, just in case. We can provide Buoyancy aids etc. but if you have your own gear please bring it.

This is a 2 consecutive day course, is fairly intensive, and requires no previous experience, or equipment. Please get in touch with any queries.
