An opportunity for adults to learn the basic skills required to sail a dinghy or a larger keelboat & covering the requirements for the RYA Adult syllabus.  Running over a Saturday & Sunday, 9am start to try and get on the water for as much time as possible, and finishing 4.30pm, course is starting on Saturday 27th September,

An introduction to sailing dinghies for complete adult beginners, covering everything you need to know to get afloat, and sail a dinghy under supervision. This is Adult start sailing as offered by RYA

The clubhouse and facilities will be available for changing etc. So please come prepared to go afloat, bring warm hats & clothes / footwear you don’t mind getting wet, and a spare change of clothes if you get wet  and also a towel and toiletries for a shower after. DSC can provide a  wetsuit and Buoyancy Aid but bring your own if you have one please. You’ll need swimwear for underneath, a towel and toiletries for a shower after, and old shoes you don’t mind getting wet in the sea if you haven’t anything else suitable.

Safety is our priority so all sessions are weather dependant, we’ll try our best to offer alternatives to the advertised dates if its unsafe to go afloat. The dates advertised are the dates that the course will run – so if this doesn’t suit please contact us prior to booking. The course will only run with a minimum number of candidates booked – so spread the word.
