As if you won’t have had enough sailing over the Regatta weekend, we want to give you more.

Leaving Donaghadee Slipway at 12 noon we are hoping for a flotilla of boats, all shapes and sizes to set sail for the Copeland Islands for a fun filled afternoon.

Our vice Commodore has agreed to host beach games.

Bring your own BBQ food or a picnic, some light refreshments and Suntan cream and we will do the rest! We will supply a communal BBQ for everyone to dive in and get involved. Of course help will be on hand from our resident BBQ Queen and her helpers. We’ve a child attending with a sesame seed allergy – please don’t bring seeded baps!

The event is open to our Bright Night Families, so it’s a great opportunity to showcase our wonderful Family Friendly Club and all the advantages of being part of it. Social members and guests are all welcome.

It is anticipated to leave the island at 5.00pm to ensure everyone gets home safely.

The club will be open afterwards if you want to finish off the weekend.

As always any volunteers on and off the water would be greatly appreciated.

£2 Charge per adult to cover the cost of rib fuel and gas for the bbq, sauces etc. Children free!

All children ‘must’ be accompanied by an adult!  Spaces may be available on some of the cruisers, and lifts available by rib for those not wishing to sail!
