DSC Junior Regatta 2026
Our Junior Regatta is Back!
Saturday 15th August 2026, a day full of fun for all! ⛵🏴☠💦

MORNING:
The day will start with our JUNIOR REGATTA RACING being held at 10am, please ensure you arrive with plenty of time to rig your boat etc. (Dinghy park & Clubhouse will be open from 9am. Club boats are available free of charge to all L4+ members.)
Please note the Junior Regatta is suitable for all Junior members with RYA Stage 4 or more.
- The Junior Regatta is open to Toppers, Picos & ILCAs.
- This year the Junior Committee are pleased to announce there will be a ‘REGATTA Fleet’ for all newbie racers. This will be a simpler and shorter course for anyone newly L4 qualified or with no club racing experience.
- Safety boats will coach and encourage ‘Regatta Fleet’ sailors, to help them round the race course.
- Lunch ashore for all racers.
AFTERNOON:
In the afternoon we will have lots of fun activities for ALL our BNS participants and Junior members, age 8 yrs plus!
FANCY DRESS ENCOURAGED: This year we are going SEA THEAMED….eg Pirates, Fisherman, Mermaids, Fish, Crab, Seaweed, Arial, Sebastian etc a plain white tee shirts can be decorated to go over wet suits/buoyancy aid. Please don’t go overboard buying too much! (There will be a few spot prizes for best dressed.)
- Registration for the afternoon’s activities will be at 1:30pm in the Training room.
- Please come dressed to get wet, but don’t forget your SEA THEME costume. Yar me hearties !
- Bring a dry change of clothes for our land based activities, dinner and prize giving.
- Bar will be opened from 1pm onwards
- Tuck shop will open at 3pm
- Food will be served from 4:30pm for those who juniors who have booked a ticket for the days events.
BOOKING OPTIONS:
Option 1 – ALL DAY: Morning Regatta, lunch, afternoon activities and dinner.
Option 2- AFTERNOON ONLY: Afternoon activities and dinner.
Please note you must book a ticket to participate. We will not be able to accept anyone who has not made prior booking.
Junior Regatta 2026 Schedule:
- 9am – Clubhouse & Dinghy park open 🚦🔑
- 10am – Junior Regatta Race ⛵🥇 (must have minimum RYA stage 4)
- 12.45pm – Junior Racers Lunch 🍽🧃
- 1.30pm – Registration training room for all BNS & Junior members (age 8yr plus) 📜🏴☠
- 2 – 4.15pm – Water and Land activities ⛵
- 4.30pm – Dinner & Prize-giving 🌭🏆
Tickets are £6.50 per child and bookings will be via DSC website.
This is a not-for-profit event.
All monies raised are to cover the costs of medal prizes, spot prizes sweets, decorations etc.
Any extra money raised beyond these costs will be donated to the RNLI – Donaghadee Lifeboat 🛟
