6 Nations Rugby – DSC Members Lounge

An audience of over eight million is expected to tune in to watch Ireland against Wales in this years’ Six Nations opener on Saturday lunchtime, live from the Aviva Stadium, Dublin.

England will look to bounce back from a fifth place finish last year, favourites France hope to secure a first title since 2010 and Italy, led by a new coach, search for a first win in the tournament for seven years. But hopefully the Luck of the Irish will prevail 😉

We plan to show most of if not all the Irish games on the big screen in the DSC  members lounge, some matches accompanied with food, and all with the bar open for your enjoyment!

The 5th round Ireland against Scotland match on 19th March will be a full social event at DSC for St. Patricks Day – post match Food and entertainment will be available throughout the rest of the evening, with Live Music and Irish Dancing.

We’ll kick off this weekend with the opening Ireland game, Burgers and Chips will be prepared by our volunteers and for sale from the galley, and we may even have a bit of a Guinness ballot promotion ongoing for some 6 nations branded merchandise!

Clubhouse will be open from just before 2pm to let you get settled and comfortable before the match kick-off at 2.15pm. Come on down and enjoy the match and the craic!

Unfortunately as Covid hasn’t yet gone away,  we all must continue to operate and learn to live responsibly within all within the current covid rules and guidelines as a society and as part of our club at DSC.  Therefore your continued support in following the rules and guidance is appreciated as always, keeping each other safe and well, so please continue to sign in,  expect the odd window open and be prepared to wear a face coving if asked.  Please don’t attend the club if you or any member of your household is feeling unwell, has tested positive and are within the govt guidance and timelines for self isolating rules. It’s no longer a requirement to show a Covid passport.
