This is a special day invitation only for the Killard House School senior pupils as an end of term sailing experience as the part of the RYA OnBoard sailing scheme – An introduction to the parts of the boat and the basic principles of how to get a boat sailing.

Please go to school as normal where the participants will be partially prepared to go afloat,  to minimise time lost getting changed, depending on the Norther Ireland weather on the day,  we’ve suggested a t shirt & shorts / a loose fitting Tracksuit & hoody, with swimming trunks / swimsuit underneath, socks and an old pair of shoes that you don’t mind getting wet in the sea (but please follow the instructions from Mr Marshall!), bring sun cream & a sun hat, or warm hats and also a towel, and a dry change of clothes for the way home , a fleece would also be useful as although our classroom is heated, it can be cool when coming off the water, often we’ll use the outside space.

Changing and shower facilities will be available. Wetsuits & waterproof tops, Buoyancy aids and helmets will be available, these will be rinsed / dried and returned at the end of the day.
