Build on the expertise you've already achieved over the summer season an d get ready to participate  in club and or regional racing events. Open t o DSC members and or any young people aged 8 - 17 years of age.\n\nThis is the part of the RYA Youth National sailing scheme - Having learnt to sail you may wish to start racing and join a club. This course takes you throu gh the fundamentals of getting off the start line and round the course\, i ntroducing the basic skills needed to enter your first race or have fun wi th friends\n\nhttps://www.rya.org.uk/training/courses/dinghy-start-racing- drace\n\nPlease come prepared to go afloat\, bring sun cream warm hats and also a towel\, and a change of clothes for the way home in the car\, a fl eece would also be useful as although our classroom is  heated  it can b e cool when coming off the water and we often use the outside space.\n\nCh anging and shower facilities will be available\, but please arrive ready t o go afloat in the mornings. Wetsuits will be available\, but must be take n home and rinsed / dried at the end of the day and returned at the end of the week for sanitation.\n\nParticipants must already have their RYA Yout h Stage 1\,2\,3 &\; have or have most of your stage 4 completed to join this course!\n\nPlease be aware that cancellations and amendments to book ings will be subject to a £20 administration fee\, cancellations will not be refunded until the place has been rebooked by another participant - un less in exceptional circumstances.
