Open to DSC junior mem bers and or any young people aged 8 - 17 years of age.\n\nThis is the part of the RYA Youth National sailing scheme - An introduction to the parts o f the boat and the basic principles of how to get a boat sailing.\n\nOptim ise your time &\; the young people’s time on the water by combining b oth the RYA Youth Stage 3 &\; Stage 4 courses into a single week’s\, 5  full days course @ DSC! Obviously there may be further practise requir ed to achieve the standard required to be awarded both stages of the quali fication!\n\nPlease come prepared to go afloat\, bring sun cream warm hats and also a towel\, and a change of clothes for the way home in the car\, a fleece would also be useful as our classroom is heated it can be cool on ce off the water\, and often we will use the outside space.\n\nChanging an d shower facilities will be available\, but please arrive ready to go aflo at in the mornings. Wetsuits will be available\, but must be taken home an d rinsed / dried at the end of the day and returned at the end of the week for sanitation.\n\nParticipants must already have their RYA Youth Stage 1 &\;2 to join this course!\n\nPlease be aware that cancellations and ame ndments to bookings will be subject to a £20 administration fee\, cancell ations will not be refunded until the place has been rebooked by another p articipant – unless in exceptional circumstances. Apologies for enforcin g this rule\, but to facilitate the course\, DSC has to employ staff and p urchase documentation in advance\, and overheads are obviously involved.
