Open to DSC junior member s and or any young people aged 8 - 17 years of age.\nThis is the part of t he RYA Youth National sailing scheme - An introduction to the parts of the boat and the basic principles of how to get a boat sailing.\n\nOptimise y our time &\; the young people’s time on the water by combining both t he RYA Youth Stage 1 &\; Stage 2 courses into a single week’s\, 5  f ull days course @ DSC! Obviously there may be further practise required to achieve the standard required to be awarded both stages of the qualificat ion!\n\nPlease come prepared to go afloat\, bring sun cream warm hats and also a towel\, and a change of clothes for the way home in the car\, a fle ece would also be useful as although our classroom is heated\, it can be c ool when coming off the water\, often we'll use the outside space.\n\nChan ging and shower facilities will be available\, but please arrive ready to go afloat in the mornings. Wetsuits will be available\, but must be taken home and rinsed / dried at the end of the day and returned at the end of t he week for sanitation.\n\nPlease be aware that cancellations and amendmen ts to bookings will be subject to a £20 administration fee\, cancellation s will not be refunded until the place has been rebooked by another partic ipant – unless in exceptional circumstances. Apologies for enforcing thi s rule\, but to facilitate the course\, DSC has to employ staff and purcha se documentation in advance\, and overheads are obviously involved.
