SUMMARY:RYA Safety Boat Course #1
DESCRIPTION:An opportunity for over 16's to learn the necessary skills requ
 ired to operate a  powerboat both safely and competently in the role of s
 afety and rescue at primarily sailing events to recover small  craft and 
 persons in the water\, but could include swimmers\, SUP's/stand up paddle-
 boards\, kayaks\, windsurfers etc. Participants must already have have ach
 ieved their RYA L2 Powerboat qualification\, and ideally have gained some 
 relevant experience operating a powerboat in a similar role.\nThe executiv
 e restrictions have now changed to allow us to resume training\, albeit wi
 th caution and mitigation in place to ensure the safety of our club member
 s and instructors.\n\nParticipants will receive a DSC 'snood' style face c
 overing\, and we'd ask that it is worn when required on and off the water.
  DSC operate the 'Hands\, Space\, and Face' policy on all our training cou
 rses\, and we would ask that all participants abide by these guidelines to
  ensure the safety of everyone.\n\nOnce again we're still  unable to use 
 the clubhouse and facilities for changing etc. So please come prepared to 
 go afloat\, bring suncream warm hats and also a towel to sit on on the way
  home in the car\, a fleece would also be useful as our classroom is altho
 ugh covered and heated as required is outside.\n\nImportant information...
