SUMMARY:RYA Powerboat L2 Course 2026
DESCRIPTION:An opportunity to learn the basic skills required to operate a
   powerboat both safely and competently. A mostly hands on practical cour
 se at the helm of one of our RIBs (Rigid Inflatable Boat) or Rigiflex boat
 s with some land based instruction &amp\; theory\, under the guidance and 
 instruction of one of our accredited RYA power boat instructors. Successfu
 l students will be awarded their L2 Powerboat certificate at the end of th
 e course.  A minimum qualification to be permitted to helm any of the DSC
  powerboats.\nThis course is for over those aged 16 or more only\nFurther 
 info here: Powerboating Brochure\nPlease come prepared to go afloat\, cate
 r for all eventualities that Northern Ireland can offer in a single day so
 \, bring sun cream\, warm hats\, warm waterproof clothing\, a fleece\, sui
 table footwear that you don't mind getting wet\,  and a change of clothin
 g to go home in\, just in case. We can provide buoyancy aids etc. but if y
 ou have your own gear please bring it.\n\nYou will also need to bring a pa
 ssport sized photo of yourself for the certificate when you attend the cou
 rse.\n\nThis is a 2 consecutive day course\, is fairly intensive\, and req
 uires no previous experience\, or equipment. Please get in touch with any
