SUMMARY:RYA OnBoard / Bright Nights Sailing 2025 @ DSC Session #1 (6.30pm)
DESCRIPTION:\nWelcome Back to DSC for BNS 2025!\nBooking this session requi
 res your child to be an existing member of DSC\, or have been registered &
 amp\; paid for at DSC as a Bright Nights 2025 sailing member at the regist
 ration evening in May. Unfortunately at this time we cannot accept any fur
 ther registrations. Those on the reserve list will be contacted directly i
 f spaces are available.\nThis page is for booking the 1st session of the e
 vening\, starting at 6.30pm\, and on the water for 7pm.\nPlease arrive at 
 the club dressed &amp\; ready to go sailing\, as promptly as possible befo
 re your session starts to facilitate booking onto our safety system\, allo
 cating\n\nto a dinghy / helm for the session and changeover from a previou
 s session.\n\nParticipants are asked to enter the rear courtyard via the d
 ouble gates\, and register on arrival\, and stay in the courtyard until es
 corted across the road by a DSC volunteer. Parents may stay and relax  in
  either the bar area\, the courtyard\, or the promenade to watch the saili
 ng.\n\nParticipants will be escorted by a nominated adult across the road 
 to the slipway before the session and back to the rear courtyard afterward
 s. Participants will be given a numbered &amp\; coloured armband as a tagg
 ing system is in operation\, please ensure this is surrendered before leav
 ing the facility.\n\nWe offer 2 sessions\, and appreciate the early one is
   nearly everyone's first preference. We only have a finite amount of res
 ources to run this event - and are limited by the RYA safety ratios\, thes
 e only permit us to operate with a number of participants to safety crew -
  if you'd like to volunteer to help out as a safety crew etc please make y
 ourself known to a volunteer. Thank You.\n\nDSC will endeavour to extend o
 ffer a session to all those registered and paid for the RYA OnBoard member
 ship\, the event is a book only event\, please do not turn up expecting a 
 place\, it's unfortunately 1st come 1st serve with the booking system on t
 he website\, this opens automatically every Tuesday at 7pm for reservation
 s.\n\nWe will try to accommodate further 'non DSC member' participants dur
 ing a the season weather &amp\; resource permitting.\n\nWe are all volunte
 ers at DSC - please be respectful towards our 'Volunteer staff'! It takes 
 a significant amount of time and effort to run this event\, from admin to 
 flipping burgers on the bbq!\n\nWe cannot control the weather\, adverse we
 ather and or strong winds may deem the session to be cancelled or curtaile
 d. Safety of our young people is paramount\, therefore the DSC official / 
 volunteer on the evening has the responsibility and authority to make this
  difficult decision.
