SUMMARY:RYA OnBoard / Bright Nights Sailing 2024 @ DSC Session #1 (6.30pm)
DESCRIPTION:\nWelcome Back to DSC for BNS 2024!\nBooking this session requi
 res your child to have been registered &amp\; paid for at DSC as a Bright 
 Nights 2024 sailing member at the registration evening in May. Unfortunate
 ly at this time we cannot accept any further registrations. Those on the r
 eserve list will be contacted directly if spaces are available.\nThis page
  is for booking the 1st session of the evening\, 6.30pm session for partic
 ipants.\nPlease arrive at the club dressed &amp\; ready to go sailing\, as
  promptly as possible before your session starts to facilitate booking ont
 o our safety system\, allocating\n\nto a dinghy / helm for the session and
  changeover from a previous session.\n\nParticipants are asked to enter th
 e rear courtyard via the double gates\, and register on arrival\, and stay
  in the courtyard until escorted across the road by a DSC volunteer. Paren
 ts may stay and relax  in either the bar area\, the courtyard\, or the pr
 omenade to watch the sailing.\n\nParticipants will be escorted by a nomina
 ted adult across the road to the slipway before the session and back to th
 e rear courtyard afterwards. Participants will be given a numbered &amp\; 
 coloured armband as a tagging system is in operation\, please ensure this 
 is surrendered before leaving the facility.\n\nWe offer 2 sessions\, and a
 ppreciate the early one is  nearly everyone's first preference. We only h
 ave a finite amount of resources to run this event - and are limited by th
 e RYA safety ratios\, these only permit us to operate with a number of par
 ticipants to safety crew - if you'd like to volunteer to help out as a saf
 ety crew etc please make yourself known to a volunteer. Thank You.\n\nDSC 
 will endeavour to extend offer a session to all those registered and paid 
 for the RYA OnBoard membership\, the event is a book only event\, please d
 o not turn up expecting a place\, it's unfortunately 1st come 1st serve wi
 th the booking system on the website\, this opens automatically every Tues
 day at 7pm for reservations.\n\nWe will try to accommodate further 'non DS
 C member' participants during a the season weather &amp\; resource permitt
 ing.\n\nWe are all volunteers at DSC - please be respectful towards our 'V
 olunteer staff'! It takes a significant amount of time and effort to run t
 his event\, from admin to flipping burgers on the bbq!\n\nWe cannot contro
 l the weather\, adverse weather and or strong winds may deem the session t
 o be cancelled or curtailed. Safety of our young people is paramount\, the
 refore the DSC official / volunteer on the evening has the responsibility 
 and authority to make this difficult decision.
