DESCRIPTION:\nWelcome Back to DSC for BNS 2024!\nBooking this session requi
 res your child to have been registered &amp\; paid for at DSC as a Bright 
 Nights 2024 sailing member at the registration evening in May. Unfortunate
 ly at this time we cannot accept any further registrations. Those on the r
 eserve list will be contacted directly if spaces are available.\nThis page
  is for booking the *****Helms Only****** - not a session for participants
 .\nHelms must have attended the training session\, or have agreed to under
 take and be ready for an assessment - must have gained their RYA Youth Lev
 el 4 before being considered thank you!\n\nPlease arrive at the club dress
 ed &amp\; ready to go sailing\, as promptly as possible before your sessio
 n starts to facilitate booking onto our safety system\, allocating to a di
 nghy / helm for the session and changeover from a previous session.\n\nPar
 ticipants are asked to enter the rear courtyard via the double gates\, and
  register on arrival\, and stay in the courtyard until escorted across the
  road by a DSC volunteer. Parents may stay and relax  in either the bar a
 rea\, the courtyard\, or the promenade to watch the sailing.\n\nParticipan
 ts will be escorted by a nominated adult across the road to the slipway be
 fore the session and back to the rear courtyard afterwards. Participants w
 ill be given a numbered &amp\; coloured armband as a tagging system is in 
 operation\, please ensure this is surrendered before leaving the facility.
 \n\nWe offer 2 sessions\, and appreciate the early one is  nearly everyon
 e's first preference. We only have a finite amount of resources to run thi
 s event - and are limited by the RYA safety ratios\, these only permit us 
 to operate with a number of participants to safety crew - if you'd like to
  volunteer to help out as a safety crew etc please make yourself known to 
 a volunteer. Thank You.\n\nDSC will endeavour to extend offer a session to
  all those registered and paid for the RYA OnBoard membership\, the event 
 is a book only event\, please do not turn up expecting a place\, it's unfo
 rtunately 1st come 1st serve with the booking system on the website\, this
  opens automatically every Tuesday at 7pm for reservations. We will try to
  accommodate further 'non DSC member' participants during a the season wea
 ther &amp\; resource permitting.\n\nWe are all volunteers at DSC - please 
 be respectful towards our 'Volunteer staff'! It takes a significant amount
  of time and effort to run this event\, from admin to flipping burgers on 
 the bbq!\n\nWe cannot control the weather\, adverse weather and or strong 
 winds may deem the session to be cancelled or curtailed. Safety of our you
 ng people is paramount\, therefore the DSC official / volunteer on the eve
 ning has the responsibility and authority to make this difficult decision.
