SUMMARY:RYA Adult Start Sailing 2025 #1
DESCRIPTION:An opportunity for adults to learn the basic skills required to
  sail a dinghy or a larger keelboat &amp\; covering the requirements for t
 he RYA Adult syllabus.  Running over 2 days / over a weekend 9.30am start
  to try and get as much time on the water as possible\, and finishing 4.30
 pm\, course is starting on Saturday 31st May\,\nAn introduction to sailing
  dinghies for complete adult beginners\, covering everything you need to k
 now to get afloat\, and sail a dinghy under supervision. See the full syll
 abus here.\n\nThe clubhouse and facilities will be available for changing 
 etc. So please come prepared to go afloat\, bring warm hats &amp\; clothes
  / footwear you don't mind getting wet\, and a spare change of clothes if 
 you get wet  and also a towel and toiletries for a shower after. DSC can 
 provide a  wetsuit and Bouancy Aid but bring your own if you have one ple
 ase. You'll need swimwear for underneath\, a towel and toiletries for a sh
 ower after\, and old shoes you don't mind getting wet in the sea if you ha
 ven't anything else suitable.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nSafety is our priority so all 
 sessions are weather dependant\, we'll try our best to offer alternative n
 ights if its unsafe to go afloat. The course requires a minimun of 6 peopl
 e to be viable as a learning experience.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nPlease be aware tha
 t cancellations and amendments to bookings will be subject to a £20 admin
 istration fee\, cancellations will not be refunded until the place has bee
 n rebooked by another participant - unless in exceptional circumstances. A
 pologies for enforcing this rule\, but to facilitate the course\, DSC has 
 to employ staff and purchase documentation in advance\, and overheads are 
 obviously involved.
