 help you to improve your sailing skills round the racecourse.\n\nCourse da
 tes perfectly timed as excellent preparation in advance of the RYA NI Yout
 h Championships\, which are held 2nd weekend of September.\n\n\n\nCourse c
 ontents:\n· 5 days of fun while learning to sail better and faster.\n· R
 acing Rules of Sailing\n· Rigging for prevailing conditions\n· Tactics -
 offense or defence\n· Improve tacking techniques\n· Lifting or headed on
  a beat\n· Reef afloat\n· Prepare for a tow whilst afloat\n· Local tid
 es\n· Understand the rule of 12 twelfths\n· Understand weather forecasts
  and Beauford scale\n\n\n\nFLEETS:\nBased on their individual skill level\
 , all sailors will be divided into two fleets Gold &amp\; Silver.\nThis wi
 ll enable the coaches to provide a more sailor specific instruction\, tail
 ored to better suit each participant\; thus the induvial sailor will get m
 aximum personal benefit.\n\n 	Silver Fleet:\nThis is your opportunity to g
 et some practice and build your confidence ready for travelling events thi
 s autumn and into 2027. Sailors will receive refreshers on de/rigging\, la
 unching/retrieval\, race start sequence and various points of sail. Most o
 f all\, time on the water will be of most benefit and sailors will gain co
 nfidence on the water.\n 	Gold Fleet:\nThe programme is suited to those wh
 o have existing racing experience\, are comfortable dealing with on the wa
 ter incidents\, and aim improve their race skills and increase their boat 
 speed etc.\n\n\n\n\nEntry Requirements/Further details:\n· Exclusive MEMB
 ERS ONLY booking open until July 5th (Open to general public/non-members f
 rom July 6th onwards)\n· Drop off 9am\, pick up 4pm. Bring a packed lunch
 .\n· You can use your own Topper or a club training Topper if required. (
 Club Race Toppers are available for a small rental fee\; please just ask)\
 n· This course content is for those who wish to improve their sailing and
  race skills. (If you are unsure if this course is suitable for your child
 \, please email us to discuss)\n· If you wish for your child to be ready 
 for this course\, please encourage them to attend regular club racing on W
 ednesday\, (BNS) Fridays and Sundays as often as possible. Our senior Sail
  School team will be keeping an eye out throughout the summer for potentia
 l candidates. (Repeating Stage 4 would be a great way to fast-track your c
 hild’s sailing skills. Also keep an eye on the junior parents WhatsApp f
 or impromptu Wed/Sun coaching sessions.)\n· This not an RYA course\, so n
 o certification is available. It is intended to provide a weeks’ worth o
 f coaching/time on the water to elevate your child’s sailing/race skills
