SUMMARY:DSC 'OnBoard' - Friday Night Sailing Registration
DESCRIPTION:This is only to register your child to participate in the 'OnBo
 ard' event happening at DSC throughout August - separate booking will be r
 equired for each Friday 'Onboard' session.\nDSC plans to resurrect the Fri
 day Bright Nights Sailing programme which has been re-branded by the RYA a
 nd is now called  'On Board'.  Hopefully starting on Friday 6th August\,
  and finishing on the 27th August - obviously if the current restrictions 
 don't change between now and the end of the month.\nWe're working hard in 
 the background to come up with a plan that will give as many young people 
 the opportunity to get on the water\, stay safe and stay within the curren
 t Covid guidelines\, whilst the mums &amp\; dads stay safe on the shore.\n
 \nWe're provisionally planning to try and run 3 consecutive sessions on ea
 ch Friday evening\, weather and other circumstances permitting.\n\nThere w
 ill be a separate online 'weekly' booking system in operation as in the pa
 st\, available on our website  Tuesday evening at 7pm\,  which will allo
 w parents and guardians to book a sailing session for their child for the 
 Friday evening of that week.\n\nDepending on how many register we may have
  to limit the session availability for booking each week to ensure everyon
 e gets a go.\n\nOur biggest issue is helpers - so we're asking the Mums an
 d Dads!\n\nThere's a separate option  to register yourself or partner as 
 a willing volunteer to help get this event off the ground. We'll have all 
 sorts of roles to fill\, escort children across the busy\, road\, help out
  on a safety boat\, check the tally board as the children get on or off th
 e water\, or help put the boats away afterwards.\n\nRegistering for Friday
  nights 'get onboard' sailing events requires that you or your child are a
  member of Donaghadee Sailing Club. Initially we will operate on existing 
 or previous (rejoining from 2019 season juniors) members only\, and if suc
 cessful DSC will consider running the RYA 'Onboard' over a series of Satur
 day or Sundays in September to 'new' participants.\n\nA special 'OnBoard' 
 deal is available for previous members from 2019 BNS who's junior membersh
 ip has lapsed due to covid\, this is a  pro rata monthly direct debit opt
 ion.  Please contact us to explore this option.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;
