SUMMARY:DSC 'OnBoard' - Friday Night Parent Volunteer Registration
DESCRIPTION:DSC plans to resurrect the Friday Bright Nights Sailing program
 me which has been re-branded by the RYA and is now called 'On Board'.  Ho
 pefully starting on Friday 6th August\, and finishing on the 27th August -
  obviously if the current restrictions don't change between now and the en
 d of the month.\nWe're working hard in the background to come up with a pl
 an that will give as many young people the opportunity to get on the water
 \, stay safe and stay within the current Covid guidelines\, whilst the mum
 s &amp\; dads stay safe on the shore. Our biggest issue is helpers - so we
 're asking the Mums and Dads!\n\nWe're provisionally planning to try and r
 un 3 consecutive sessions on a Friday evening\, weather and other circumst
 ances permitting.\n\nThis  is to register yourself or partner as an adult
  volunteer to enable DSC to run the 'OnBoard' event happening throughout A
 ugust.\n\nWe'll have all sorts of roles to fill\, escort children across t
 he busy\, road\, help out on a safety boat\, check the tally board as the 
 children get on or off the water\, or help put the boats away afterwards.\
 n\nWe'll have a list of volunteer roles that you can put your name against
  prior to the start of the event. No previous experience is necessary\, we
 'll be happy to show what's needed and provide relevant training and assis
 tance - don't worry we'll look after all the awkward bits with suitably tr
 ained and qualified people. It's a great way to see and meet people!\n\nRe
 gistering for Friday nights 'OnBoard' sailing events as a volunteer\, requ
 ires that you or your child are a member of Donaghadee Sailing Club.\n\nA 
 special 'OnBoard' deal is available with a pro rata monthly direct debit o
 ption for previous 2019 season  junior members. Please contact us if you
