Ladies, your opportunity to try dinghy sailing,a course run by women for women, will take place on the 5-6th September 2015 at Donaghadee Sailing Club.
As an RYA training centre, we you can start at the beginning and develop your skills, confidence and knowledge in a fun, safe and encouraging environment.Come on ladies, do something for yourselves and get fit and have fun. This is the perfect opportunity to meet up with friends and perhaps make some new ones whilst trying out something new.
We provide all the clothing and equipment you will need. We have plenty of wetsuits for all ages and sizes. The only thing we do not provide is footwear so you will need to bring something that you don’t mind getting wet, like wetsuit shoes or trainers. Also bring your bathing suit for underneath your wetsuit, a towel, pack lunch and water.

The Club is an RYA Training Centre offering dinghy sailing and power boat training for all age groups,all delivered by our team of RYA trained instructors and Race Coaches.
As an RYA Champion Club, we offer pathway training for juniors. The programme offers safe, effective racing and race training in the RYA recognised classes for juniors and youth age groups.
Our new state of the art Training Facility was opened in 2009 by double Olympian Shirley Robertson, has everything you need to enjoy your training experience:-
• Wet/Dry training rooms
• Large changing facilities including Adult/Junior/Disabled areas
• Multi-function training room with large projection screen
• A safe enclose courtyard for summer outdoor activities
• Dinghy fleet for all age groups
• Fleet of safety boats for all conditions
• Wet suits, buoyancy aids and spray tops
Sailing allows you to relax your mind, breath the fresh air while exercising your body. Sea air especially recharges and energises. Learning a new skill provides a workout for the mind and body.
Whatever you’re level of ability we have a course suitable for you. If you would like to try a new sport, improve your existing skills or join our Club racing program, we have an inspiring and challenging
programme to help you.

We will acknowledge your application by email and confirm your course reservation. If for some reason you do not hear from us or require any further information, then please email [email protected] and we will deal with query.
Please note that all courses require a minimum number of participants for them to run. In this unlikely event, we will provide a refund or offer an alternative suitable date. Refunds are not available under any other circumstances.
You do not have to be a member to take parts in our courses, but if you become hooked on the sport, pro rata membership is available for new member – enjoy all the benefits of DSC’s modern Clubhouse & family orientated Club sailing, Friday Fun Nights, BBQs, picnics & the many social events.
