Club News

Come & Try It sessions back again on Friday 22nd June for those who have already registered. We may have to run a reserve list for any new comers depending on numbers on the night.

Do think about joining DSC particularly if this will be your 4th free session! We are running a pro rata membership scheme so if you join this month you will pay 5 months of the relevant membership fee only plus the one-off joining fee. It’s the best value in town. As well as being able to continue to come along on Friday nights you can benefit from our members rates on the summer sailing courses (full details & forms under training on the web-site) and join in with our sailing events still to come this season.

Full details are on the Join Us section of the web-site as are membership forms to download. It couldn’t be easier and you are most welcome to the friendliest sailing club around!

1st Friday Night on the water on Friday 18th May had to be cancelled due to the weather! but back again on Friday 25th May from 6.30pm. Calling all capable helms….great experience, great fun, great way to introduce juniors to the delights of sailing.

Remember it’s four free consecutive sessions for non-members. Club memberships are available on a pro rata basis plus the relevant joining fee. See Join Us on the web-site for the best value in Club memberships for the whole family. Enjoy the comforts of our modern Clubhouse as well as benefit from special members rates on sailing courses as well as Club and social sailing events throughout the year.

The weather has finally taken a turn for the better and our Friday Fun Night’s have started. We have nearly 100 kids registered, which is great. In order for this programme to be successful , can I make a personal request, for all capable helms of all ages, to join me on the slipway at 6.30 each week, to make sure all the kids have a great nights fun. Remember they are the future members of our Club.

Please make every effort to be there and help. It will be much appreciated.

James Ogg
