DSC will have recreational sailing sessions available for members to book each week, weather permitting on a Sunday afternoon, and Wednesday evening.
Please only turn up to the club if you’ve made a reservation.
Support crews need to book as well, members wishing to provide support must have read and be compliant with the helm/ crewing guidance in the terms and conditions.
May we politely ask that any parents / family members etc/ spectators use the seating area along the promenade to comply with social distancing guidance, rather than congregating on the slipway or dinghy park – thanks!
Please pay attention to further details posted on the clubs Facebook page for time changes to avoid other slipway users / weather curtailments etc.
Please ensure you have read the terms and conditions.
From Sunday 27th – things are changing ever so slightly!
We are going to get back to racing (of some form), we are staggering start / launch times to reduce the number of people rigging and launching their boats at one time. Sessions are still restricted in numbers! (10 instead of 6)
Sundays – We are planning on running races – two slots have been allocated – 13:00 & 13:30. First gun at 14:00. Can you please arrive ready and be rigged as quickly as possible? Be ready to launch as soon as you see a Tango.
Wednesday – We are planning on running races – two slots have been allocated – 19:00 & 19:15. First gun at 19:45. Can you please arrive ready and be rigged as quickly as possible? Be ready to launch as soon as you see a Tango.
Rules still apply to same household per boat (double handers of course) etc..
Club boats – we are now allowing use of Club boats subject to pre approval (level of competancy for weather conditions!) and you will be responsible for the cleaning of ‘your’ boat after use. PLEASE MESSAGE ON FACEBOOK IF YOU REQUIRE A CLUB BOAT.
Rigging – Since we are trying out staggered launching times, please collect your boat and either rig on the slipway or on the grass at the side of the carpark – in groups of no more than 10.
Remember: even with these changes social distancing still needs to be adhered too.
